Journey to the Heart of Ancient Greece: An Inexhaustible Source of Inspiration for My Jewellery Collections

Let’s immerse ourselves in my world for a moment. Let yourself be enchanted by the timeless beauty of ancient Greece, which inspires each of my creations with its mythical brilliance and cultural richness.

Greece has always held an indescribable fascination for me, an irresistible call to lands bathed in light and steeped in history. Every trip to Greece is a plunge into a glorious past, where antiquity is revealed around every corner, through every vestige. This era, imbued with grandeur and mystery, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the creation of my jewellery collections.

A Dialogue with History through Museums and Archaeological Sites

Whenever I visit, I spend a great deal of time in museums and archaeological sites, places where the past meets the present. Whether I’m at the Acropolis Museum in Athens or walking through the ruins of ancient Olympia, I immerse myself in the very essence of ancient Greece. The jewellery from this period, often in hammered yellow gold, bears witness to exceptional craftsmanship and a timeless aesthetic. They reflect a civilisation that celebrated beauty and harmony in every creation.

The baroque freshwater pearls in my collections are another reminiscence of that distant era. Unlike cultured pearls, these natural pearls, with their irregular shapes, recall the authenticity and purity of the jewellery worn by ancient women. For me, they are a symbol of elegance and simplicity, values that have stood the test of time.

The Ionian Columns and Greek Remains: A Source of Endless Wonder

Among the architectural elements that fuel my imagination, Ionic columns occupy a special place. Their finesse, elegance and perfect balance are a source of perpetual admiration for me. They embody the ideal of beauty of ancient Greece, an ideal that inspires not only my creations, but also the visuals of my brand.

The archaeological sites I’ve been lucky enough to visit, such as the Acropolis in Athens and Lindos in Rhodes, are much more than ruins to me. They are living testimonies to past greatness, places where art and history meet to create a unique emotion.

Unmissable sites in Ancient Greece

The Acropolis of Athens: towering 156 metres above the city, the Acropolis is the symbol of Greek civilisation. The Parthenon, dedicated to the goddess Athena, is a masterpiece of Doric architecture, built in the 5th century BC, and remains a model of harmony and proportion.

The Temple of Zeus at Olympia: Located in the sanctuary of Olympia, this temple was dedicated to the king of the gods, Zeus. It once housed the chryselephantine statue of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The majestic ruins of the temple offer a glimpse of the former grandeur of the sanctuary, which was the heart of the ancient Olympic Game

The Theatre of Epidaurus: Built in the 4th century BC, this theatre is renowned for its exceptional acoustics. It could seat up to 14,000 spectators and today remains one of the best-preserved ancient theatres. Its simple yet imposing architecture continues to inspire artists and architects the world over.

The Palace of Knossos in Crete: Although it dates back to the Minoan period, this palace is often associated with the legend of the Minotaur. Located near Heraklion, it represents another face of Greek Antiquity, that of a refined and mysterious civilisation that preceded the rise of the Greek city-states.

Travelling to Greece a source of inspiration

For me, every trip to Greece is a return to my roots, an exploration of the deep roots of our civilisation. These moments spent in the heart of Antiquity nourish not only my mind, but also my creations, which seek to capture the very essence of that unforgettable era. My jewellery is the fruit of this passion for history, a tribute to the forms, materials and aesthetics that have come down to us through the ages.

Thanks to these journeys, I want to offer my customers much more than just jewellery: a fragment of eternity, a tangible link with a time when art and beauty reigned supreme.
